Snow day!

Yesterday we had our first proper snowfall since we moved here five years ago. The children were unable to go to school, the roads were completely blocked and our little part of the world came to a complete standstill. It was so cold, but the girls just could not get enough of it. They must have gone out in it about 10 times.
Personally, I prefer to look at it, rather than play in it. My knees started locking up after one little walk.
I know to a lot of you, this must be a regular occurrence through winter, but it is so rare for us that we take hundreds of photos just in case we imagined it. So to ease myself back into blogging this week, I thought I would share some pictures of where we live covered by snow.

Thank you again for all your kind words yesterday. It really helped to know I have made some great friends in the blogging world.

Tomorrow I shall be back to reviewing books with Forged with Fire. So have a great day and I will see you all tomorrow.

Trying to encourage the girls to get out of the road!

Our garden

The snow iced over quickly and all the paths were really slippery.

Heres Doo Dahs Deluxe believing he can catch snowballs just like real balls. He couldn't work out where they kept disappearing to.

  1. I wish snow still felt like a novelty to me. This winter has been pretty brutal here and I've been looking at snow covered streets for what is starting to feel like forever.
