If you go down to the woods today......

Last weekend before going to their scrap day, three avid investigators headed for the local woods, to try and see if there was any truth in the rumours that circulated about the site. Well there wasn't actually any real avid investigators, just my scrapbook buddies and I, out for some interesting photos.

So Anne, Jo and I headed with trepidation to the woods, a little weary of the stories we had heard involving UFO's, dogs going missing and unseen spirits pushing people! I am a very curious person by nature and I was fascinated by all the stories. I thought it would be a good place to investigate and to get some lovely pictures as well.

We walked up a hill and came to the church first. This was very dark inside, but luckily we had our own guide - the church cat. We guessed that he lived there as there was food and water outside the side door for him.

I love visiting places with a bit of history, old buildings have always fascinated me.

We had a great morning walking around the church grounds and then heading into the woods. We didn't experience anything scary and I am pretty sure if we had, we would have ran very quickly back to the car. However, we got some great photos of the church and the woods, which I look forward to scrapping in the future.

Here is our guide, he was very cuddly and I would have liked to take him home. He walked around as though he owned the place.

These trees were fabulous, they reminded me of The Children of Green Knowe by L.M. Boston.

My first picture of catkins. I would love to be one of the people who can look at a plant and know exactly what it is. So I thought I would try and keep a record of different plants for future reference.

I hope you liked my photos. I am beginning to think I will actually take photos of anything and everything. I suppose that is the miracle of the digital camera, allowing to photograph anything! If you don't want to keep them, you just delete them.
Thanks for stopping by
