Saturday Scrapbooking - Look at many Layouts I made.

I better warn you from the start this is very photo heavy and completely scrap based. On Saturday I went to my regular scrap day and was really impressed with how many scrap pages I managed to do. I spent a long time drawing sketches beforehand and picking embellishments and paper before I went, so I didn't waste any time. On the day I managed to complete 3 pages and nearly finished another, which I will show at a later date.

This first layout is for my auntie's album. She recently lost her husband and I promised her I would make her an album, using her old photos. This one is of when she was a baby. I used Once Upon A Time paper and the quote reads ' A baby is God's opinion that the world should go on.' I do find it quite hard to make scrap albums for other people as I find it difficult to journal events that I don't really know a lot about. So with my aunt's album, I thought it would be easier to use quotes instead as they are usually so beautifully written.

Here is the LO of the egg decorating contest at school. All the children had to decorate eggs for Dr Barnados which I have spelt incorrectly on the LO and I am not sure how to fix at the moment. Never trust a teacher to be able to spell! Only joking Annie.

The children really went to town decorating these eggs. There is one of Barack Obama, a dinosaur, even an 'eggs'ecution!

I used DCVW card and papers from Papermania.

This last LO is my favourite and I completed in in just over half an hour. It is a picture from hubby's birthday.

I used a range of different papers as well as jumbo ric rac and thickers letters. The quote says 'Real friends are the ones who walk in when the rest of the world walks out'. I have to say this fits our friends perfectly as they are always there when we need them and have been a tower of strength over the last year.
So although my sketches and preplanning was mocked heavily on the day, I was really pleased with the amount I produced. Usually I only get one page done and spend the rest of the day talking. Not this time! I made others think that preplanning was the way to go. Now if I could just preplan the rest of my life, I will be so organised.
Come back tomorrow for a book review of Dead Witch Walking. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Hi Viv,
Your LO's are gorgeous! I recently done an album for my niece. It was her son's baby album. Yea, I'm a Great Auntie. Anyway, I'm with you on journaling other people's pages and albums. So I put the journal cards in there for her to fill in. Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great evening!
