Sunday Salon - March round up.

Good morning Sunday Saloners, if you have no idea about what Sunday Salon is then please look here.

I thought I would do a round up of the books that I have read this month. In total, I have read 11 books, which I am really pleased with.

The books are as follows.

1) A Hat Full of Sky by Terry Pratchett

2) Palace Pier by Keith Waterhouse

3) Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett

4) Knife by M.T Anderson

5) The Reader by Bernhard Schlink

6) The Conjurers Game by Catherine Fisher

7) Scabbit Isle by Tom Pow

8) The Candleman by Catherine Fisher

9) Fintans Tower by Catherine Fisher

10) The Marriage Bureau for Rich People by Farahad Zama

11) Gentlemen and Players by Joanne Harris.

I have linked the reviews to them if anyone wishes to have a look. Out of all the books I think my favourite one was Knife followed by The Reader. Though The Marriage Bureau for Rich People and Gentlemen and Players definitely come in at a joint third.

This week I have read Fearless by Tim Lott, The Tygrine Cat by Inbali Iserles, Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison and The Tales of Beedle The Bard by JK Rowling, so that is not a bad start for April. I have started reading Never Far From Anywhere by Andrea Levy, The Spooks Apprentice by Joseph Delaney and I am still dipping in and out of Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.

My children are now off school for two weeks, so there should be less rushing around and more reading time - I can't wait. I have a huge stack of books by my bed just calling out to me to be read and I hope to really make some leeway with them over the next two weeks.

I have managed to do quite a bit of scrapping in the last week too, so I have loads of things to share with you.

I hope you are having a good reading week and can't wait to read what you are reading this week. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. You've had a great reading month. It would take me 3 months to read that many books. Enjoy your time with the kids back at school and an early Happy Birthday!

  2. That is an impressive amount of reading! Liked how you are sympathetic to Hanna's plight in The Reader. So many are quick to condemn her and dismiss her illiteracy as an excuse for her actions.

Starting The Believers by Zoe Heller today. High hopes. Happy reading!

  6. You had a better reading month than I did! You know, I've heard so many wonderful things about Terry Pratchet and yet have not read anything! Any suggestions for an initiation?

  8. I love great reading months. You read such an interesting spread of books.. I do wonder how you end up with MORE reading time with your girls around? I'm going to be struggling to read anything for the next two weeks!
