What's on your desk Wednesday!

This is the first time I have participated in this post, but I thought it was about time
I showed you my pit. You may think it is tidy by this photo, but the next one will show that it isn't.
This picture shows my defunct photo printer which I could happily throw against a wall! It has given me hell all year and then decided to pack up completely. So it is back to Boots for me, to get my pictures developed. It may actually encourage my scrapping as I will have photos developed a lot quicker.
You can also see my notepad that holds my TBR list. Every book I like the look of, goes in that book. Underneath is Scraptastic! which my friend Jo lent me. It is full of lovely scrapping ideas to have a go at.
This picture shows the piles of junk I keep on my desk. On top are the lovely owls that
Fiona printed for me. Underneath you have books on cruise ships, as well as all my magazines for the month. Weight watchers, Writing magazine, Writer's Focus and all the Books Quarterly mags from Waterstones.
On my stereo, even more books and all my CD's. I should really show you under my desk, because that would be a real treat. Not!
I am going to share a picture of our rabbit Max, who is very poorly and it looks like he may not be with us for much longer. I have a very sad household at the moment, as Max has been quite a lively and comical character in our home. He chases the dog, chases the cat, eats all my plants, sits on my reclining chair, leaving delicate little poo pellets every where that the dog likes to eat and digs up my garden , but we all really love him. Unfortunately he has a very large growth under his chin, which is making it hard for him to eat. The vet thinks it is a tumour or an abscess on his tooth, so either way it would be cruel to leave him in pain. The vet has given us some very strong medicine for Max, which he will have to take for 10 days, so we will keep an eye on him and just hope for the best. He has moved into my conservatory for the forseeable future with all windows and doors wide open during our present gale force storms. So please just keep your fingers crossed for Mr Max.
I find it is one of the hardest decisions to make, deciding whether a much loved pet should be put to sleep or not. On one hand, you don't want to see him suffering and in pain, yet on the other you don't want to be responsible for his ultimate death. I can't even say it gets easier with each pet, as it just hurts all the time. I am sorry for babbling, just feeling a little low this week.
I hope we get a positive outcome, but am wise enough to prepare for the worse.

  2. Aww poor Max. He is a cutie though. Don't feel bad your desk area looks much cleaner than mine does. I would be ashamed to even take a picture of mine.

  3. No, of course it doesn't get easier with each pet. Love is love. I'm so very sorry. For Max, and for you and your family. I'll be thinking about you all.

  4. I know how you're feeling about poor Max. We think our thirteen year old dog had a seizure Sunday morning and it was very traumatic for all of us. She's been fine ever since, but she has to go to the vet tomorrow. By the way, I think I have the same photo printer and I love mine.

  7. Poor, poor, Max. I really do hope he'll recover after taking the strong meds that the vet gave him. I can't even imagine how I'd react should anything happen to baby Hiro (my new Shih Tzu pup)... I feel you, Viv.

  8. I'm sorry to hear about Max too; I hope he pulls through.

I just did this meme too and only took a pic of one pile on my desk -- the rest is too much of a mess!

  14. I'm so so sorry to hear about Max :( I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it's just an abscess and that he keeps better with the medicine.

  15. I am so sorry about Max. I will send White Light of healing for him. I hope he gets better. Having 4 dogs and 2 cats, I know how they are part of the family. They are my family. Hang in there Scrap Girl. I will say a prayer.

As far as the meme. I never heard of this one. Do you take a picture of your desk every week.
That is a scary thought. Yours looks better than mine for sure.
