Happy World Book Night!

Happy World Book Night everyone.

For those of you who do not know anything about it, today will see the real love of the book world come alive as 40,000 copies of  25 carefully selected titles, are given away by 20,000 ‘givers’, who will each distribute 48 copies of their chosen title to whomever they choose on World Book Night. The remaining books will be distributed by World Book Night itself in places that might otherwise be difficult to reach, such as prisons and hospitals.

I am a 'giver' and I was very excited to pick up my 48 copies of The Fingersmith by Sarah Waters yesterday from my local branch of Waterstones.

I have already made the decision as to where the books will be distributed and will be spending the day dropping them off at the local library, doctor's surgery, local retirement home and keeping some for my children's school for the staff.

I have decided to keep two copies back for my lovely bloggers. One copy will be sent in the UK, the other copy will be sent internationally.

So if you would like to win a copy, please leave a comment with your name and email address and which country you are from. If you could tweet about this event, it would be extremely appreciated. The more that know about World Book Night the better. The draw will take place tomorrow at noon (UK time) and the two winners will be picked by the randomizer.
