Random House Children's Books Showcase

I promised you earlier in the week that I would show you some of the fantastic books that Random House have coming out later this year and the beginning of next year that were not included in the other post. Click on the titles to find out more about each book.

There were quite a few other books that were shown but as the covers have not reached a final decision I am unable to show them to you. All I can give you is the titles at this moment in time. Don't worry though, because as soon as I can share them with you I will.

The Haunting of Charity Delafied by Ian Beck ( I am absolutely desperate to read this one after hearing about it)

Starters by Lissa Price -OMG! This one will blow your mind!

The Wood Queen by Karen Mahoney - this is the follow up to The Iron Witch but is already creating a huge stir and it won't be out until February!

The Flappers: Vixen by Jillian Larkin - be prepared to step back in the Roaring Twenties!

Also the author of Tender Morsels, Margo Lanagan has a new book coming out in April 2012. I can't share the title as it seems to have changed recently. This one is based on a mythical selkie tale!

Struck by Jennifer Bosworth. - Jennifer is AMAZING! I have spoken to her on Twitter quite a lot and I think this is going to be a huge hit in the summer of 2012.

Well! What can I say! I hope that has tantalised your taste buds! I spent the whole time at the event repeating the same word. Wow! Which books do you think you will be adding to your reading list?

  3. Is that the same Phillip Pullman who wrote the his Dark Materials books? That looks like quite the departure.

  4. what a wonderful post. Though I was a vivid reader as a child I can't help but think that there was a lot less choice when I was little and I certainly don't remember such a great range of covers ..... mind you it could be I'm going through some kind of second childhood at the moment.

  6. Suko - thank you.

Jules - far too much squeeing occurred at this event.

Bermudaonion - yes it is one and the same. Victorian feel to them, so would say they were like the Sally Lockhart series.

Petty Witter - this is why I love the YA books right now. We just didn't have these when I was younger.

Raimy - Kiss Date Love Hate sounded awesome.
