From The Review Pile (1) - The Summer of Living Dangerously by Julie Cohen

How many of you have review piles that are presently toppling over? *puts hand up*. I was so pleased to discover this meme via Carly from Writing From The Tub. For some reason this month, my reading has really slowed down and I desperately want to talk about the books on my shelves that I am desperate to read, but just haven't got around to.  I don't normally do memes but this one really stood out for me. So I hope to take part in this meme every Thursday and give a little light and loving to a book that I hope to read soon.

From the Review Pile is a meme hosted by Stepping Out of the Page every Thursday.
The aim of this meme is to showcase books that you've received for review (or any book that you own and really want to read/review) but haven't yet got around to reading, in order to give the book some extra publicity.

I frigging love Julie Cohen! I think this woman is amazing. She is one of the nicest and most helpful authors on Twitter and she is funny. I received this book in March from Headline, when it came out in paperback format. I actually own quite a few of Julie's books and blog tours seem to side track me from reading them. So I am hoping to squeeze a few hours in very soon to get past Chapter 1 in this book.

Alice Woodstock has been running away.
Well, not literally. She spends most of her time glued to her desk, writing about grommets and model aeroplanes. No, Alice is avoiding the real world because there’s something—someone—in her past that she’s desperate to forget. So when she’s commissioned to write about life in stately home Eversley Hall, she jumps at the chance to escape into Regency England, even if it does mean swapping her comfy T-shirt for an itchy corset. Perhaps she’ll meet her own Mr Darcy…
But when her past resurfaces in the shape of Leo Allingham, Alice is brought down to earth with a bump. Reckless, unpredictable Leo reminds Alice of the painful price of following her heart. And the new Alice doesn’t live dangerously.
Or does she?

I hadn't actually heard of this one before now, but it looks SO good - I think that this is one that'll be added to my TBR pile. I hope it's great when you get around to it!
