Heart-Shaped Bruise Book Launch

Last week, I was over the moon to be invited to the launch for author Tanya Byrne's debut novel Heart-Shaped Bruise. I had read the books a few days before and my review was posted on publication day. Within hours of posting on my blog, the amazing Sam Eades had swiped a quote from it and added it  one of the praise boards for the launch. I was thrilled to be included!
The launch was held at Daunt Books in Marylebone High Road. Guess who completely got lost trying to get there? Firstly I got off at Bond Street tube station instead of Baker Street. Then when I did get off, I walked in the opposite direction to the shop. I took my friend with me and she was convinced I had lost the plot.
Before the event began, I got to hang out with some fabulous YA authors in the pub. It really was surreal; I have never seen so many authors in one building before. They had all come down to support Tanya, some coming from as far as Edinburgh and Cornwall!
It was a fabulous turn out and wonderful to finally meet so many authors I have only spoken to via Twitter.
I will shut up now and let you enjoy all the photos, some of which were tweeted live during the event.
Cat Clarke, Liz Kessler, and Laura drinking lemonade!
 The fabulous Keris Stainton!

Liz De Jager of My Favourite Books strutting her stuff in her boots of awesomeness.
James Dawson suddenly realising that everyone is staring at him!
James Dawson considering running for the next Chancellor of Exchequer - he already had the Budget in the bag!
The nearest I could get to Tanya Byrne all evening! LOL, by the time I reached her, she was exhausted, bless her. She gave me a hilarious message in my book that I will one day sell on Ebay! Mwoarhaha!
The AMAZING Sam Eades - always a pleasure to meet and chat with.
S.C. Ransom - the author of the parnormal YA series which began with Small Blue Thing.
I have no idea what James Dawson was doing in this picture, but Cat Clarke and Susie Day are completely unawares. Maybe he is about to do  a 'Dance Dare'!
Leanne (District YA) Jenny (Juniper's Jungle) and Laura( Sister Spooky) all recovering from an earlier  bout of fangirling!
James Dawson and Cat Clarke posing!

Sam Eades helps Ben Willis to try and remember where he left the last bottle of wine.
 Daunt Books looking magnificent!
Leanne (District YA) creating some serious hair envy!
Boots of awesomeness! Liz De Jager, Cat Clarke and Laura (Sister Spooky)
Mark De Jager, Sarwat Chadda and Cat Clarke pondering over who should eat the last cupcake.
Laura concerned that Leanne may swipe her lolly.
Sarah, Mark and Liz - the awesomeness that is My Favourite Books. All the team together.

I hope you enjoyed all the photos. It really was an amazing evening. Thank you so much to Sam Eades and Tanya Byrne for inviting me and allowing me to join in with the excitement.
Heart-Shaped Bruise by Tanya Byrne is out NOW! GO BUY!

    1. LOL. Me too! There were so many people there, it was difficult to talk to anyone for long. Plus, I was just a tad author struck.
