I am normally the last person to notice any similarities but these covers really caught my eye this week. I was sent an email with information about Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire which instantly reminded me of So Much Pretty by Cara Hoffman which I read last year. Within an hour of the email, I then came across the cover for A World Away by Nancy Grossman. I was surprised to see so many butterflies and jars. On further investigation I found two more.

I knew that Beautiful Disaster cover was familiar - just didn't realise how familiar!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the popularity of the butterfly has sprung from. So similar, I wonder who does the research into what makes an original cover?
ReplyDeleteI like so much pretty cos of the fading.
ReplyDeleteBut ye so similar
I like the covers! I think A World Away is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the covers, but my fave is A World Away. I love how bright the butterflies are and how the jar stands out from the background.
ReplyDeleteIts weird but somehow I LOVE covers with jars and butterflies. To this list, you could also add Sarah Dessen's Someone Like you (paperback), it also has a jar and butterflies.
