Letterbox Love (11)

Britain at it's best, bringing you it's own version of IMM! All the books that came through my letterbox thanks to publishers and Royal Mail!
There was a lot of excitement in the Dacosta household this week as there were a few books in the post I had been patiently waiting for!

The Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs has been glowing red on my radar all  week. This young lady is a bit of a writing phenomenon! She is only 17 and has already attracted over 16 million readers via Wattpad. She has become an online sensation and got herself a 6 figure publishing deal allowing her to head off to university this week without having to worry about any debts! This has been published by Harper Voyager in September.

Falling to Ash by the lovely Karen Mahoney. I have heard a lot about Karen and was lucky enough to meet her last month at Foyles. She really is an inspiration and this book came about from a short story called Moth which was originally published in 2009. The original story can be purchased here.

Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck - how I love these darn tigers! This is the fourth book in the series and I can't wait to find out what happens. It is published by Hodder & Stoughton on the 13th September.

Heart-shaped Bruise by Tanya Byrne - I loved this book when it came out in hard book. So I hope to do a give away soon of the paperback version which is just as gorgeous as the hard back!

The Icarus Project by Laura Quimby comes out in October and is published by Amulet Books. This is a mystery set in the Arctic which really caught my attention. Just right for winter!

The Crash by Krystyna Kuhn is published by Atom on the 4th of October. This book is described as a 'standalone sequel' which confuses the hell out of me! I get the impression though I can read it without having to read the previous one.

I also received two books via Netgalley from UK publishers.
Broken by A.E. Rought. I just love this cover! It is simply gorgeous and I want a poster of it to put on my wall! This will be published in January 2013 by Strange Chemistry who are really bringing out some fantastic books in the short time they have been publishing.
Crewel by Gennifer Albin will be published by Faber & Faber in October. I will be on the blog tour for this book, so I am really looking forward to reading it.

Those are the gorgeous books that entered my house this week - what did you get?
