I'd known better than to come here, but I couldn't keep avoiding the field parties. It was time I started acting as if Beau and Ash being together didn't bother me.
Goodreads Summary
Sawyer Vincent is still heartbroken over his breakup with Ashton Gray - made worse because he lost her to his brother - but Lana McDaniel thinks she might just have a cure. Lana's lived in her cousin Ashton's shadow all her life, but now she's taking the lead and is determined to make Sawyer her man. But can she be sure that Sawyer's not just using her to get back at Ashton? And what if Sawyer sees through her new sexy version of herself and discovers the shy, geeky girl she used to be?

This series has really gripped me. I feel like I have been thrown off a diving board into a pool full of enticing and exciting NA books. I seem to have now downloaded everything this author has written and hope to be devouring them all soon.
Hot Key Books have the rights to this series and will be bringing out the censored versions of both of the Vincent Boys books later this year. I was extremely happy that they bought the uncensored versions out first and I had to download them and read them as quickly as I could.
This is the second book in the series and follows the story of Sawyer six months after Beau and Ash finally got together. He is still hurting but better at putting on a brave face now. He wasn’t expecting to fall for the charms of Lana, Ash’s cousin. Lana is quick to work her charms on him, but he takes a while to realise just how amazing she really is as he constantly changes his mind about what he wants for the relationship.
I was told by other bloggers that I would fall for Sawyer after reading this, but I didn’t. I am still 100% a Beau girl. Sawyer was way too possessive for my liking. I didn’t like the way he got annoyed by the clothes that Lana wore. Beau is a lot more laid back about things.
I have to say Abbi Glines really knows how to write hot male characters; she really does make you swoon. It seriously is impossible not to fall in love with them. I didn’t find this book as sexually explicit as the first one was, but I think that is a good thing, but the first book is sizzling! Lana isn’t as easily led as her cousin and Sawyer wants to take his time when it comes to sex.
I loved the ending of this book where we were given a glimpse of the future. I was pleased with how their futures panned out.
I do love this series and I think Abbi Glines is fast becoming one of my favourite authors. I love the real life yet simple tales full of summer loving days full of sunshine and romance.

  1. Oh..well you persuaded me, Vivienne. I just had to buy these books for my Kindle now. I bought two; The Vincent Boys and The Vincent Brothers. I choose the "Extended and Uncut" version and I'm hoping that was the editions I wanted :)

    1. Yep, you have the right ones. Though I'm warning you now, I won't be sharing Beau!

  2. I've read The Vincent Boys and I will likely read The Vincent Brothers next month. Thanks for the interesting review! I wonder which guy I'll like best by the end? I found Beau really cool, but I don't wanna count Sawyer out because I know he's been through a lot. We'll have to wait and see!
