What’s The Book Gossip?

I seem to have been inundated with book news this week via my email so I thought I would share it with you.

Firstly news of a couple of competitions that might interest you.

Random House Children’s Publishing have a fabulous competition running to celebrate the upcoming film Seventh Son, which is an adaption of the first book in the Spook’s Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney.

There are 11 books in the series and two more are planned for 2013 including the final boo. The competition is to win 5 cinema tickets to see Seventh Son  for you and your friends including vouchers for food.

All you have to do is:

• Read the first 11 books in the series.
• Upload mini reviews of each book on your blog as well as www.totallyrandombook.co.uk

Do all of this by the end of August and your name will be entered into the prize draw. Easy peasy. Especially if you have read them all already. You can update Random House with your progress by using the hashtag #SPOOKS  on Twitter.

Another exciting competition has  been announced this week by Hodder and Stoughton in conjunction with Laini Taylor and The Days of Blood and Starlight. Basically Laini is running a trailer competition and the winner will win $1,000. Here are the details direct from Hodder and Stoughton.

The brand new covers for Abbi Glines NA series Seabreeze were revealed this week. What do you think? There has been a lot of discussion on Twitter about them.  I really like them.
