On Thursday we saw the announcement of the Hot Key Books/Kobo Young Writers Competition. The competition is open for 18 to 25 year olds and is open world wide. This is the second year for the competition and is definitely worth entering.
The competition is split into two categories. One for books aimed at 9 to 12 year olds and another for books aimed at the Young Adult market (13 to 19). The two winners (as shown below) from last year will be published later this year.

I don’t normally plug writing competitions on this blog, but this one is rather special to me as I’ve been asked to be a judge for the Young Adult category! I am very excited about the prospect of taking part in such a wonderful competition and I can’t wait to start reading the submissions.
So if you are 18 to 25 years old and have written a book – this is the competition for you!
