Echoes of Scotland Street by SamanthaYoung

I think I’d worn Gran out with my music and my yapping on and on about Ewan. Her eyes kept fluttering closed and popping open and she’d mutter,’Oh dear,’ every once in a while. My boyfriend, the aforementioned Ewan, would be in Edinburgh soon to pick me up, so I saw no hamr in waiting out on Gran’s front stoop and letting her take a much-needed nap.

Summary
Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.
Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.
As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good…

I seriously can’t get enough of this series. I love all the characters and every time a new one joins the family, I love them all even more. If I could belong to a fictional family it would definitely be this one. When Samantha Young writes, she has a way of really bringing relationships alive. She reminds me of Lisa Kleypas when she writes and I’m not surprised that she was picked up by the same publisher in the UK.
I loved Cole from the previous novel, where he valiantly tried to protect his best friend, Hannah, from the love of her life, Marco. So it was really good to see him find the right woman for him. As soon as Shannon and Cole were on the same pages, sparks flew off them as the chemistry worked its magic. The more they resisted each other, the hotter the story got.
I read this book in one sitting, much to the annoyance of my family. I just couldn’t put it down. I had to know whether or not Cole had  found the one and whether Shannon could finally trust another man.
I love the fact that the author doesn’t leave the previous characters in limbo. All through the book, they pop up, so we find out how their lives have moved on since we last met in them in their own books.
This is simply a gorgeous series, with lots of hot romance. I can’t wait for the next book, where we get to know Shannon’s brother, Logan a lot better. Summer 2015 can’t come quick enough for me!
