Other Mermaid Books to Consider

There are so many more books that feature mermaids in than I had ever so considered. I've trawled Goodreads to bring you a selection of them, in case the ones that have been featured this week aren't enough for you. 

Ingo by Helen Dunmore 

This is the first book in a five book series, with the first book being published in 2005.

Summary

Sapphire's father mysteriously vanishes into the waves off the Cornwall coast where her family has always lived. She misses him terribly, and she longs to hear his spellbinding tales about the Mer, who live in the underwater kingdom of Ingo. Perhaps that is why she imagines herself being pulled like a magnet toward the sea. But when her brother, Conor, starts disappearing for hours on end, Sapphy starts to believe she might not be the only one who hears the call of the ocean. 

Forgive My Fins by Tera Lynn Childs

I love this series. I think this might actually have been my first mermaid book. This is the first book in a trilogy. 

Summary

Seventeen-year-old Lily, half-mermaid and half-human, has been living on land and attending high school, where she develops a crush on a boy but is afraid to tell him of her true destiny as the ruler of the undersea kingdom of Thalassinia.

Wake by Amanda Hocking

This is the first book in a the Watersong quartet and was originally self published.

Tempest Rising by Tracy Deebs

I keep meaning to read the rest of this series as I really enjoyed the first book.

The Mermaid's Mirror by L.K. Madigan

I've heard such good things about this book and I really hope to read it soon.

This is a recent addition which has been really popular among bloggers.

Summary
