Orange July!

I have succumbed to another challenge. I just can't resist, though I don't feel bad as the Once Upon A Time challenge is nearly at an end.

This challenge is called Orange July and basically the challenge is to read as many of the Orange nominees and prize winners.

Here is the information I found about it on The Magic Lasso site, which you will find here.

'Orange July is my personal commitment to read books that have won or been nominated for the Orange Prize. Last July and January, many book lovers joined this challenge, and I hope this Orange July will see even more participants!Remember, there are no rules, no minimums and no reviews required. You can commit to read only on or 20. It's up to you! If you do write reviews, please consider leaving them on the Orange Prize Project blog. '

I don't feel over committed by doing this, especially as I have a lot of books in this category. If you need a list of books that are included in this challenge, you will find them here.

My possible reads are as follows:

  1. The Outcast, by Sadie Jones
  2. The Night Watch, by Sarah Waters
  3. The Mammoth Cheese, by Sheri Holman
  4. A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, by Marina Lewycka
  5. Property, by Valerie Martin
  6. Small Island, by Andrea Levy
  7. Fingersmith, by Sarah Waters
  8. Bitter Sweets, by Roopa Farooki

These are all books I already have in my TBR pile and some of them cross over with my 1% read challenge, so I don't feel like I have any extra reading to do.

Anyone else feel like joining in and making it an Orange July?

PS - You may have noticed a few changes on my blog. I thought I needed a bit of a spring and summery feel - so I have had a bit of a change around.

I've been meaning to get to quite a few of those, actually. But I really shouldn't join more challenges..

  2. I need to do this challenge. I am reading the Orange Prize winners. Or at least I am supposed to be. I have neglected them shamefully
