Happy New Year and Happy 4th Blogiversary.

Firstly happy New Year to everyone! I hope you celebrated the turning year in style! Unfortunately ours was very quiet as my husband was ill all over Christmas with flu followed by the sickness bug going around. I am so thankful the rest of the family haven't caught it. I am pretty sure we won't forget this Christmas in a hurry.

Anyway today isn't just New Year's Day, today is also the 4th blogiversary for Serendipity Reviews. In the four years I have been blogging I haven't managed to celebrate it once as it falls on New Year's Day and I am normally busy. This year I have been super organised and written the post in advance.

When I began writing my blog four years ago I would never have imagined it would still be going strong and have as many followers as it now does. My first year of blogging wasn't as regular as it is now and it hardly had any reviews in it. I think I used to read about one book a week if I was lucky, not like now when I can usually get through up to four books a week. I used tto have more lifestyle posts too but as my children have grown older I felt uncomfortable putting them on the blog. I am happy with the way the blog is now and I am involved in a lot of events that supporting the every expanding YA market, which has just sprouted a new book market with the New Adult books. I am also a massive supporter of debut authors and have read lots of fantastic books by authors that I wouldn't have heard about if I wasn't blogging.

I want to thank all my blogging friends that have supported me over the years. Some old, some new but all very much valued. Thank you for always taking the time to stop by. As you are all just so wonderful, I wanted to give something back.
