Top 5 - Most Anticipated Novels For March

March has whipped around so soon and here I am again, ready for the second month of this new feature. If you aren't familiar with it, I will be picking the Top 5 Books I am looking forward to the most, which will be published in March.  I can only pick a book in  a series if I've read the rest. So even though there are some awesome sequels coming out, I can't include them as I haven't read the first book.

Here my Top 5 most anticipated books being published in March.

Crush by Eve Ainsworth

Eve Ainsworth is very quickly establishing herself as a gritty, realistic YA author, dealing with issues that many teenagers face right now. Her first book, 7 Days, is being shortlisted for awards all over the country and I can't say I'm surprised. From the reviews I've read about Crush, it is even stronger than the first. Dealing with domestic abuse and an overpowering relationship, I'm sure this book will be winning awards next year too. 

The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig

I first heard about this book two years ago and I've waited patiently ever since to read it. I love time travel novels. The idea of being able to go wherever you want is so thrilling. Nix can travel through time by using old maps. Alongside her father and the rest of their crew, they time travel in a pirate ship! It sounds so amazing!

Star Struck by Jenny McLachlan

I have absolutely adored this series. Star Struck is the final book in the Ladybird series and the coolest member, Pearl is about to get her time in the spotlight. Pearl hasn't always come across as a nice character, but after reading Sunkissed, I've really warmed to her. I can't believe this series is coming to an end. I'm really going to miss these girls. 

Broken Sky by L.A. Weatherly

Now I completely missed out on the Angel phenomena, but I had friends who absolutely adored  L.A. Weatherley's first series. So I'm determined not to miss out on this, her next series before it goes global. Set in the 1940's, this novel shows an alternate reality. 

Perijee and Me by Ross Montgomery

Published by Faber Children's Books

I was hooked as soon as I heard about this book. If you loved E.T.  then you will love this tale. I've already started reading it and it is heartwarmingly funny! Caitlin is so lonely, that when she finds an alien, she practically adopts it. She treats Perijee like a little brother, only he keeps getting bigger and eating everything in sight.

So those are my five most anticipated books of March. There are loads of others I am looking forward to as well, but I did set myself a limit of only five books!
