#6Degrees - From Fangirl to ...

The #6degrees was originally set up by Annabel Smith and Emma Chapman. With their permission, Jim from YA Yeah Yeah has adapted it to feature YA novels. This really is one of my favourite memes so I try take part every month. If you want to have a go to, just start with Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and make your own chain of six books, linking to here.

Now I haven't actually read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell yet...*stands back while ever book blogger in the world throws things at me*. Sorry! I'm always late to the party and read different books to everyone else. Anyway, I have read another Rainbow Rowell book which I loved, Eleanor and Park

In Eleanor and Park, music plays is huge part of the story. It is also a huge part of another book I love, This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales.

I chose This Song Will Save Your Life as one of the book I thought John Hughes would make into a film, if he was still alive. Another book that was on the John Hughes list is The Art of Being Normal by Lisa Williamson.

The Art of Being Normal has just been shortlisted for the #YABookPrize. This has been shortlisted along side another book I love. One by Sarah Crossan

One by Sarah Crossan is completely in verse. Another book I've loved that was written in verse is Chasing Brooklyn by Lisa Shroeder.

So that's how I got #sixdegrees from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell to Chasing Brooklyn by Lisa Shroeder.
