Apologies for my unexpected absence.

I have to apologise for disappearing over the last few days. Unfortunately I got hit by a rather nasty stomach bug on Thursday, which got worse as the weekend approached. I have spent most of the last four days in bed, feeling very sorry for myself, but pleased with the unexpected weight loss. However there are now certain food groups my stomach can no longer tolerate!

I only started to actually retain my food last night, so my energy levels are a little on the low side. I hope to back to normal within the next few days and trying to visit all your blogs.

Thanks for listening to my pitiful moanings.

  2. Oh you poor thing :( Sounds awful. Take it easy, hope you are being looked after. Stay in bed with a pile of books, some warm toast and a steaming cuppa. (If your tum can handle it)

  12. Thank you everyone for you kind comments. I am now dosing myself up with Lucozade and other high energy drinks to give me more energy.

  15. I would rather be sick with just about anything other than a stomach bug--they are awful. I hope you get up and running real soon-don't rush things though--you don't want to over-do!

    My son's pediatrician always recommended the B.R.A.T. diet for stomach upsets - B(ananas), R(ice), A(pplesauce), T(oast).

    A good book is always helpful!

  17. I hope that you start feeling better soon! Stomach bugs can certainly take a lot out of you. Just "baby" your stomach for awhile...rice always makes me feel a bit better after I have been sick. :)

    I am a new follower to your blog and admittedly, I was lured in by the word cupcake....hmmm....cupcakes.
