Saturday Scrapping

During the last week with all the stress that seems to be surrounding me, I found refuge in my scrapbooking. I found it easier to drift off into my scrapping world rather than read this week, as my concentration span has been very short.

I thought I would start making Christmas cards and made a lovely set of four using peel offs from Little Clares. I am not a lover of peel offs at all, but these are pretty fabulous.
They are actually sparkly, but I don't think it shows up in the photo. So you will have to use your imagination and imagine a bit of bling.
I managed to make three scrap pages, two of which were for my aunties album, where I only have six pages to finish. I actually think this looks better in real life. My photo makes it look rather plain.
Here is one of my girlies, growing up. I knew I wanted to use the flower paper and my flower template, so I was determined to call it Blooming Lovely, but yet again the photo doesn't really show the title up.
Another one for my auntie's album. This is show her two boys growing up. I love this paper, which is from the DCVW range.

I went around all the patterns on it with my white pen, just to make it stand out better.
So I may not have read much this week, but I have been rather creative.
Off to my scrap club today, so I will definitely have more to show you next week.
Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Are those hedgehogs I see on the christmas cards?

It's niece #1's 21st birthday next year and I was thinking about putting together an album of her life so far - a friend did one for her sister as a wedding present and it was beautiful, a truly unique gift and so personal - anyway do you have any tips at all, as a novice they would be really helpful.

  8. Thank you ladies for all your kind words. I have had a lovely day scrapping today, so will have more to show next week.

Petty Witter - I would advise having a look at one of the scrap magazines first to give you some ideas. I have to say it isn't a cheap hobby, so I would think about expenditure first before you start. Let me know if you want to get started and I will give you a list of basics that you will need. Most scrapbooks have 20 sides to fill, so you looking at at least 20 photos to start with.

  15. Hi Vivienne and thanks for that advice. 20+ photographs? No problem there, it will be more of a problem deciding which to use. As for cost, as it's her 21st we had thought about jewellery but other people plan to get that and I thought a scrapbook was such a lovely idea that nobody else (fingers crossed) would have thought of. A list of essentials, good magazines etc would be great, thanks.
